In Ward 8, neither Trayon White nor Mike Austin received the required 51% of the vote to earn an endorsement.

We want to thank our membership for participating in this endorsement vote, which is an important opportunity to voice our community's views on the best candidates to represent Latino interests. We also want to thank every candidate that took the time to submit responses to a questionnaire on Latino issues provided by the DCLC to help inform members, and especially thank those candidates who took the time to return the questionnaire in both English and Spanish.

We look forward to assisting our endorsed candidates win election on June 2.
